Worldwide Kava Liberation Movements

Aloha Everyone! It certainly seems that things are getting more and more chaotic all over the world these past few months. Although there have been some negative things that have occurred as of late, I have been witnessing more and more signs that movements toward rational, reasonable, compassionate behavior are growing, gaining strength and momentum, and creating very real change. I am extremely happy to report that this movement towards rationality can be seen more and more clearly in the recent news surrounding kava! Maybe it’s a bit much to say there’s a kava liberation...

Since then, I’ve been trying to incorporate fresh kava into my cooking with varying levels of success – maybe after I get a little more practice I’ll be able to share some of my original recipes with all of you! 2010 was also a pretty...

The Impact of Kava Bans

Aloha everyone! I hope all of you are doing well! I have been extremely busy with the farm and with travel and business (as usual!), but I have also been sure to find time to relax and enjoy some time on this ever-beautiful island with my family (and our delicious kava, of course!). I have been thinking quite a bit on a certain subject recently and I just wanted to share my thoughts with all of your. This is a problem that really causes distress and poverty for millions of people, and its not something that Americans or Europeans are necessarily made aware of very often. This is the problem...
